On April 27th I was blessed to be selected by Erin at Patchwork Underground to win a pair of Gingher spring-action dressmaker's scissors! These babies are awesome. The spring action feature makes cutting a breeze - never seen anything like it. They are so unlike my garden shears that once I cut a shrub branch I almost have to use 2 hands to open them back up again. Argh!
Anyway, thanks again Erin, I am enjoying them and it was perfect timing as my other pair of scissors fell apart. The piece holding them together was a plastic looking screw and it broke so in the trash they went.
It just so happens that I came across a new blog Brown Quilts and an opportunity to use my new gift. Please read Carol's May 3rd posting about a dear friend, very sad yet very inspiring, and see if you might be able to help too.
I just signed up for some pillowcases. Thanks for the link.
