A month or so ago decided to get back online and see what was happening. I entered a contest for a pattern and fabric and couldnt believe I actually won. So, I vowed not to slack on it and because I was grateful, started on it right away. My new dear friend is Cheryl and she can be found at http://www.prairiegrovepeddler.blogspot.com/. The pattern I won is too cute and you can see it here; it's called What's All The Buzz? Evidently I was already a fan because I found another pattern of hers called Winter Sampler in my stash :O.
Anyway, have the top pieces together and thought with DH gone for the day I'd sit and stipple it and get all the quilting done. I finished my last stitches - forgot how a marathon stipple session can tihten up your shoulders - and flipped my quilt over and found this! About 1/3 of it is this loopy business. Well, the machine tells me if my top thread breaks and whether or not my bobbin is about to run out, you'd think it could have given me a clue about an hour ago right? So, I've been in Seam Ripper 101 class for the last half hour hence the "Need a break" posting.
Anyway, back to blogging. It can be quite fun if you are truly engaged and know someone is listening. I actually spent over a year at Connecting Threads and have done a couple of block swaps, worked on quilting projects (we all work on the same quilt at the same time and talk about progress) and was engaged in several UFO challenges that kept me quite motivated.
How about you all, what are you participating in these days, anything fun filled and exciting?
Stay cool (it's exactly 100 degrees here) and have a blessed day in the Lord.
