Who's the next participant in the Traveling Stash Giveaway???

It seems Debra had a 2nd Traveling Stash in her presence so she forwarded one on to lucky ole me!  Let me tell you, this box is jammed full!

OK, here's my plunder:
I helped myself to some flannels scraps with cute little duckies, two patterns (Fig Tree and Schnibbles). two fat quarters, a scrap of blue floral fabric because it was pretty, a charm pack and a candy bar.  Because I couldnt fit all of my loot back in the box, I decided to take this bit of fabric with these cute turkeys as well:

Here's the loot I added:

The first is a freebie pamplet I have on hand and the pattern is really cute.  Because I have so many quilts in progress Im giving it up.   The next two are project booklets and there are enough patterns in them to please everyone.  The last is a Christmas book also filled with lots of different type of projects for the holiday.

I added a Starry Nights pattern/kit from Keepsake Quilting.  The kit came with the pattern and all of the solids for the stars but youll need the 2 or so yards of background to finish the quilt top.  I also added a copy of Amanda Murphy's new Village Green quilt pattern.  I just tested this pattern and the quilt was so easy to make, and with all of her vibrant colors in the Veranda line it was a treat.  My hope is that you enjoy it too and might consider her other equally beautiful patterns - my next one is a toss up between Bubbles, Garden Paths, and Portraits of My Garden.  Incidently, have you seen Amanda's Swiss Chocolate fabric line?  I just bought some.  They have it available, and it's on sale, at the Fat Quarter Shop!

This is a purse pattern and the fabric I purchased to make it while on vacation.  The pattern calls for charms but there should be enough fat quarters in this beautiful blue and green colorway to make it.  Why am I giving it up?  Well, that vacation was quite a few years ago and it just hasnt been on my priority list.  I've made lots of quilts since so I'm not slacking!

I would have added more but there is seriously no room left to put it!

Giveaway Details

Start your post off by telling me where you're from - no need to be too specific, just thought it would be fun, and then give me an example of how you best cope with stress (aside from quilting - I do that already and it's not always working for me!)

The giveaway will be open until the last day of June - the 30th which is next Thursday at 9PM EDT.  I will pick a winner, hopefully that night or asap on Friday morning using the Random Generator tool.

Good luck!

  1. I live in Rhode Island (the smallest state in the USA). And I de-stress by taking a nice bath, with oils or bubble bath, light some candles, maybe a glass of wine, a good book, and just relax!

  2. I live in New York. Being retired and living alone, there is little stress, but I like to start my day - on the front porch with my first cup of java, and listen for the first bird song (before life's noises start).

  3. I live in the Pacific Northwest, a transplant from Southern Californian. The beautiful place we live is the key to my stress relief. When I'm overwhelmed or tense, I take a walk. Often I just walk around and around on the circular drive that rings our property. For me, it's similar to a labrynth walk--the beautiful scenery and the repetition are very soothing.

    Thanks for the giveaway.

  7. I'm a misplaced Texan living in Illinois. Unfortunately, stress is best handled with yummy food. It makes for a fluffy quilter. Bubble baths with a nice book also work. I've heard about the traveling stash. Sew cool.

  27. I love the traveling stash! Such a fun idea. I am down here in SW Florida but dreaming of living in the country. Sometimes quilting calms me other times I just hide in a warm shower. It is the only time/place that my family leaves me alone for a couple minutes. When my Hubby and I were first together (21 yrs ago) and we would get into arguments we would both clean the house. After an hour or so of cleaning the stress would be gone and we would have a clean house :)
